JJ Memorial Tournament

Friday 1st/Saturday 2nd August 2008

Kevin Jullion (JJʼs son) has arranged for a crowd of squash players and their families to visit for a long weekend, 31st July through 3rd August. We hope to run a two-day tournament while they are here and do some socialising with them all, while honouring the memory of our old friend and long time club member/director, JJ.

We plan to serve fish and chips on Friday, 1st August while the games are being played and Saturday evening hope to organise early evening drinks at a beach bar/restaurant (TBA) for anyone interested in joining in.

Please sign up if you would like to play and keep the weekend free to join in the fun and meet old and new friends at the same time. We hope to make this a weekend the visitors will really enjoy and remember!

Steve will be playing live music.
Finals night for a squash tournament.
Van and team will be cooking great fish for you to enjoy.

Tickets for the fish supper are available from Lisa at the bar.
Please come along and support the club...bring a few friends if you can.

EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that an EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING of the Grand Bahama Tennis and Squash Club will be held at the Clubhouse on Wednesday, 12th March 2008 at 7.00pm.

AGENDA
To ratify the sale/relocation of the Grand Bahama Tennis and Squash Club.

This is a very important meeting. It seeks to address the future life of the Club.
Please make every effort to attend.
Only full members who are paid up will be entitled to vote.

Social members may take part in the discussion but are not entitled to vote.

Junior Squash Program

Paul Brown is going to starting up a Junior Squash Program.

It will on Wednesdays from 4-6pm, starting on the March 5, 2008.

Costs will be $5 per child.

Minimum age of about 8 years.

Any adults wanting to learn can come along as well.

Christmas Carols

on Wednesday December 19, 2007 from 7:30pm until at the squash club.

Come along and join in the festivities leading up to Christmas.
Bring some friends to the annual carol singing night at the club.

If you can, a plate of Christmas Goodies to share and eat with friends would be great.
Mulled Wine will be available to warm up your voices.

Hosting Parties

If anyone has a birthday approaching in the coming weeks (or months) and they want to have a party, we would like to suggest the Squash Club as a venue.......

We can provide the drinks and the music, and the birthday person or people can provide food if they so wish.....We will also look after the clean-up afterwards.

We recently had very enjoyable parties for Marsha and Lisa, and last year we had a joint birthday party hosted by Kim and Lou........

So think about it and let us know.......

Please note that the GBTSC AGM will be held on Friday, October 5th 2007, starting promptly at 6pm.
